Traditional dances from Europe: seeking for common origins
Main aims
Every country has a heritage of traditional dances,unfortunately it’s sometimes and somewhere slowly disappering. But these dances are very important to understand our past and our present. They are important also to understand how our national cultures have often same roots,discovering and presenting to other school our traditional dances is a mean to better understand our common cultural background and to discover our common origins.
Every group is going to investigate their own traditional repertoire and present them to the other participants with videos, records and texts to explain origin,meaning and coreography.
Meanwhile the teachers will exchange scores in order to create a musical archive of the project.
At the end of the project the participants will take part to an event where they will perform their dances to the music.
